The Gift of Giving — How Blended Families Can Use Philanthropy to Bring Their Family Closer Together
Date(s) - 07/17/2012
7:30 pm - 8:15 pm
NOTE: This event has been POSTPONED. Look for new date and times this fall.
Most blended families are not blended at all, but are more like two separate family units having to navigate life together, usually despite the partners’ desires. Children in stepfamilies can resist trusting and relating to their step parents and step siblings, leading to power struggles and conflict. Most couples in blended families are unaware of how to strategically, successfully bring their two households and families together as a cohesive whole. Couples with stepchildren are in need of an effective approach to bring together their family members in a way that is unifying and family-affirming.
Participants will: Become inspired to make philanthropy part of their blended family life experience. See how to take simple actions to bring blended family members together in meaningful ways.
As a result of attending this presentation, attendees will have: More meaning and purpose in family conversations and experiences. Deeper understanding about all their family members and what matters to the family as a whole, and as individuals.
Attendance is free. Anyone who chooses to donate $50 or more will receive a special package valued at over $350 that includes:
- A signed copy of Estate Planning for the Blended Family
- A year’s subscription to blended-families.com “Ask the Expert” coaching program, AND
- A 30-minute coaching session with Emily, a master coach with over 20 years of experience
StepFamily Systems will receive the net benefit of your donation after expenses have been covered.
